Our uniform is unique. It is a simple Custard Yellow T-Shirt over navy blue jeans. Our choice is informed by the need to provide children with friendly, easy-to-wear uniforms.
Toydam pupils are expected to turn up neat and elegant daily. To achieve this level of neatness all through the week, parents are adviced to buy a minimum of three tops for each child. A pair of physical and Health Education sports wears and white tennies shoes are to be purchased for sporting activities.
Our creche is home away from home where all provisions have been made for the comfort of the babies in our care.
Top on our priority is maintaining the most hygienic environment and keeping the children under the watchful eyes of responsible and caring mothers.
The creche is particularly colourful in a very child-friendly way. Toys, sleeping area and play things are carefully selected with the safety of the children in mind
We continuously engage in recruitment efforts to fill vacancies resulting from teachers, turnover, or school expansion. Through our quality recruitment and selection, we address vacancies as a growth opportunity to put new, high-caliber teachers in classrooms. Simply stated, the purpose of recruitment is to provide an adequate quantity of quality applicants.
Toydam school is proud of its African Culture, but also strives to offer a truly international education and environment to its pupils. The school has a standing cultural group which performs on most school occassion and in other external programmes. The October 1st independence day and May 27th Children's Day always provide an avenue for the children and staff to come to school in their traditional attires and to celebrate Nigeria's cultural diversity.
The school Library offers our children a conducive place to read or study on their own. Relevant books are available, and these are augmented on a termly basis.
A library assistant is available to guide the children on the use of library facilities and the handling of books.
Toydam Pupils are provided with intensive and effective computer trainning.
The computer hold regularly and are handled by experienced teachers, with emphasis on practicals. Variety of academic-based softwares and games are always available for the children's use.
Generally, parents are responsible for their children's transport and are required to ensure that their wards arrive and leave the school punctually. However, for parents interested in the bus service, we have well-serviced fleet of busses under the care of careful drivers. Please see the administrative office for details of the routes covered and the charges.
From time to time, the school recognizes the contributions of staff and our esteemed parents through awards such as scolarship, prize for best pupil in each class and special awards to parents. The management appreciates the fact that only the support and co-operation of all stakeholders can continue to move the school towards excellence.
